About Guerrilla Memo
Guerrilla Memo is a satirical publication operating deep behind enemy lines — where buzzwords run wild, AI solves everything (allegedly), and digital transformation has a 400-slide kill chain.
Guerrilla Memo is where military satire, retro grit, and defense disruption collide. We don’t write for the Pentagon press pool—we write for the caffeinated comms guy, the disillusioned major, the IT sergeant stuck in a ticket queue, and the warfighter tired of PowerPoint warfare. Think Duffel Blog’s rebellious cousin — the one who skipped the off-site strategy summit and came back with a meme, a war story, and a leaked RFP.
We specialize in biting, battlefield-grade humor aimed squarely at the absurdities of defense tech, military modernization, national security theater, and the parade of corporate “solutions” that promise the future… sometime around FY39.
Expect sharp critiques, rebellious essays, field-ready memes, and the occasional classified laugh.
But beneath the jokes, there’s a mission: to make you think critically about what you’re being sold, who’s selling it, and why your inbox is still full of slide decks promising “mission success through synergy.”
We believe satire is a weapon. A smart one.
And we use it to expose the disconnects, challenge the echo chambers, and occasionally remind you that truth — like war — is messy, poorly briefed, and never follows the comms plan.
Led by Sgt. Jax (our simian spirit guide in the fight against tactical nonsense), Guerrilla Memo delivers weekly(ish) sitreps, strategy roasts, and snark-laced observations from the frontlines of modernization.
If you’ve ever rolled your eyes in a flag officer sync, questioned why your chat app needs a SCIF, or wanted to slap a “Mission Accomplished” sticker on your laptop just for surviving another AI demo — you belong here.
